Aftercare

To safeguard floors we recommend all furniture be fitted with felt pads. Similarly, any objects you place on worktops such as chopping boards, containers, flower/tea pots may have rough and abrasive bases. Stick small rubber or felt pads to these to avoid scratching.

Clean up spills of water and other liquids as soon as possible.

Do not use bleach or aggressive cleaners on wood or any surface finish.

Never use a steam cleaner on your surface. Use a chopping board for food preparation - do not chop directly onto wooden worktops.

It is very important to keep wooden surfaces clean. Dust, dirt and grit should be regularly removed using a damp cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a soft attachment.

If allowed to build up, dust, dirt or grit can act like sandpaper, scratching and dulling your finish. If your surface looks dull, clean using Treatex Spray On Surface Cleaner.

Worn surfaces can be easily renovated using Treatex Preparation Cleaner or Treatex Wax Polish. Treatex Preparation Cleaner is an aggressive cleaner which removes contaminates such as dirt, grease and fat, leaving wood ready for refreshing with Wax Polish. Preparation removes a small amount of wax, so do not use it for regular cleaning.

Estate Eggshell is washable & wipable, wipe gently with a soft damp cloth or sponge. Do not use steam cleaners, bleach or aggressive cleaners on painted surfaces.

If your paintwork becomes damaged or marked you made to repaint. To achieve the best results we recommend applying a single coat of paint over the entire section that had damage, this practice will avoid any noticeablevariation in colour of finish. If you do choose to touch-in to repair damage, the following recomendations will help you achieve the optimum finish. * For marks & scuffs - more often than not these will wipe clean, in the event they don't apply a single coat of the required colour. Ensure the edges of the touched in paint are blended in "feathered" to make the transition between old and new paint areas less noticable.

* In the event of deep damage to the furniture an appropriate wood filler may be required to properly repair the damaged area, when filled soflty sand and flush the edges, wipe clean then allow to dry. finally give 2 coats of the required colour. Ensure the edges of the touched in paint are blended in "feathered" to make the transition between old and new paint areas less noticable.
